How Legacy works

Legacy Points are earned for your whole Battle.net account, and every character that isn’t Hardcore can use them. Each character spends them in its own three trees, apart from the others, so one can be built for gathering and another for leveling.

A character can spend up to 16 points. Legacy opens with the account’s first point, for most players when a character reaches level 25: the shield on the menu bar, or Y.

In each tree some perks are open from the start, and the rest open once 5 or 10 points are spent in that tree. A perk an arrow points to also needs a point in the perk the arrow comes from. The ? slots are perks still to come.

Where the points come from

65 Legacy Challenges, a point each the first time any of your characters completes one.

The Reward Track

Every point the account earns also counts toward the Legacy Reward Track: rewards for show that give no edge in play, collected from Innkeeper Wiley in Ratchet.
