Campfires into campsites
Camping turns Cooking’s simple fire into a Basic Campfire. Placing one makes a campsite with vendors, repairs and profession workspaces. Sit by the fire for a few moments and you get one-hour buffs; it’s also where you refresh food buffs, which have been reworked. See Blizzard’s overview.

Up to three players can each add one crafted object to a Basic Campfire, and the objects share a one-hour cooldown. Every profession has three objects, learned at different skill levels, and gives its own buff or service whichever one is placed:

  • Blacksmiths place a Sharpening Wheel for attack power.
  • Tailors place a Faction Banner for Spirit.
  • Herbalists place an Incense Candle for Intellect.
  • Alchemists can set up an Alchemy Lab, and Leatherworkers a Tanning Rack, which advanced Leatherworking recipes need.
  • Cooks learn bigger campfires that hold five or ten objects.

These buffs are versions of class buffs and don’t stack with them. The first objects come at skill 20, from trainers or from NPCs who introduce camping; better ones are Blueprint recipes that drop from dungeon bosses.

The recipes
Professions gain more than 600 recipes across every skill range, and crafted food can give a small experience bonus on top of its stats. Crafting also earns Legacy Points: one for each crafting profession you take to 150, 225 and 300.

Browse every profession’s recipes on our professions pages, or plan two for a character with the profession planner.
