Familiar trees
The talent trees keep the original structure and number of rows, with one-point milestone talents at 11, 21 and 31 points, now joined by a new one at 16 points. Some talents are exactly as they were in patch 1.12; others are adjusted or improved. Read the class section of the Deep Dive.

Talents that granted key class buffs are now baseline, so every Priest has Divine Spirit, every Paladin Blessing of Kings and every Druid Improved Mark of the Wild without spending points.

Paladins as the example
Blizzard used Paladins to show the approach. Every Paladin gets Holy Strike at level 6, an instant holy-damage weapon strike, and Consecration at level 20, and Judgment no longer uses up the Seal. Protection gets Seal of Fury, which makes Judgment taunt; Holy gets Infusion of Light and a 10-second Holy Shock; Retribution gets Twist of Light, which carries a new Seal into the next swing so Seal twisting works without a swing-timer add-on. Paladins still have no interrupt and few ways to slow a target.

The beta keeps adjusting the trees: the September 24 build swapped talents for Elemental Shaman and Protection Warriors.
