Privacy policy
WowSeer is a fan-made database for World of Warcraft: Forever, built and run by Yushki. This page says what the site learns about you when you use it, and what happens to it.
1Kept in your browser
The talent calculator, the planners and the world map keep what you enter in your own browser, not on our server. Two small cookies remember a choice: your faction on the PvP pages, for a year, and which version of the site you chose to see. Clearing the site’s data in your browser removes all of it.
2Comments and screenshots
If you post a comment or a screenshot, the name you give, what you write and the pictures you add are shown on that page to everyone, with the date. Your browser keeps a random ID, not tied to who you are, which is stored with what you post and with your votes, so that each person votes once and can take down their own posts. Put nothing in a post that you would not want public.
3What the server sees
Like any website, the server that runs WowSeer receives your IP address and the addresses of the pages you ask for; a search is one of them. The site is hosted by DigitalOcean.
4Fonts from Google
The site’s typefaces load from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google’s servers for them and Google receives your IP address, as it would for any request. Google’s own privacy policy covers what it does with it.
5Other sites
Links to X, Discord, Blizzard and other sites take you to them, and their own policies apply there.
6Your choices
You can take down your own comments and screenshots on the page where you posted them, from the browser you posted them with. To ask what we hold about you, or to have something corrected or removed, reach us through the Contact link at the foot of every page.
7Children
WowSeer is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child has posted here, tell us through Contact and we will take it down.
8Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
