Cozy Sleeping Bag: Alliance & Horde Quest Guide

The Cozy Sleeping Bag is a reusable item that gives up to 3% bonus XP. Unlock it through a six-quest treasure hunt across both continents. You can start at level 14, but the journey passes higher-level enemies and faction guards.

Using the sleeping bag

• Rest for three minutes: gain 1% XP per minute, up to 3%. The buff lasts two hours.
• Deploy outside rested areas: 15-second cast, one-hour cooldown. Step onto the bag to rest.
• Share with your party: party members can rest in the same bag.
• Keep Student Fodder: in Forever, it restores health and resources; it does not grant the rested XP described in older Season of Discovery guides.

Alliance and Horde starts

Both factions visit the same two Burned-Out Remains, in opposite order.

Westfall: the wrecked cart at Alexston Farmstead. The Barrens: the ruined tower south of Camp Taurajo.

1. First stop: check the Burned-Out Remains to begin the chain.
2. Second stop: check the remains and nearby Nailed Plank, then pick up Stepping Stones.

Travel between stops

• Alliance: Booty Bay → boat to Ratchet → southern Barrens.
• Horde: Orgrimmar → zeppelin to Grom’gol → north along the coast to Westfall.
• Both factions: after visiting both starting locations, continue to Stonetalon Mountains.

The shared quest chain

1. Stonetalon camp — Stepping Stones

1. Enter the mountain path at 50.9, 52.3, northeast of Sun Rock Retreat.
2. Follow it to the tent at 40.6, 52.4.
3. Click Pocket Litter on the box.

Quests: turn in Stepping Stones → accept Scramble.

Alliance: avoid Sun Rock Retreat’s guards.

2. Stonetalon ledge — Scramble

1. Climb the hill north of the camp.
2. Jump across to the ledge at 39.6, 49.8.
3. Click the Mound of Dirt.

Quests: turn in Scramble → accept Wet Job.

3. Stonewrought Dam — Wet Job

Location: Loch Modan — 49.4, 12.9.

1. From the top of the dam, carefully drop onto the north-facing ledge with the carved dwarf head.
2. Click the Carved Figurine.

Quests: turn in Wet Job → accept Eagle’s Fist.

Horde: avoid the Alliance guards.

4. Thoradin’s Wall — Eagle’s Fist

Start: Hillsbrad Foothills — 87.3, 49.6.

1. Climb the broken cart and rubble onto the wall.
2. Follow the top through the small room, then look outside to your right.
3. Click the hanging Messenger Bag at Arathi Highlands, 22.4, 24.2.
4. Turn in Eagle’s Fist → accept This Must Be The Place.
5. Open the Hastily Rolled-Up Satchel beneath the bag to finish and collect your Cozy Sleeping Bag.

Everything the chain rewards

The chain also awards quest XP and coin. These are the item rewards; where a choice is listed, pick one.

Optional: Rekindle. At the Stonetalon camp, use the firepit with one Simple Wood and Flint and Tinder. It uses the wood and returns the flint. You do not need this quest to unlock the sleeping bag.
