Rare Spawns: Locations, Loot and Respawn Guide

Rare spawns can reward equipment, quest items and unusual hunter pets. Use the zone sections below to find each encounter and see what is worth collecting.

Reading the maps: numbers match the entries in each section. Repeated numbers show alternative search points for the same creature. Rares may move around these areas; a marker does not guarantee a spawn or a drop.

Zephras Isle

Summoned elite · group recommended. The marker is the Fathom Stone, at Mathystral Ruins, 59.2, 22.6.

  1. Collect 20 Mathystral Amulet Fragments.
  2. Combine them into the Mathystral Amulet.
  3. Use it at the Fathom Stone, at the bottom of the stairs by the water.
  4. Defeat Baron Marinous for the quest-starting Clouded Water Globe.

Equip any two pieces for 5% movement speed in the Barrens and Stonetalon Mountains.
